Cape Air Flies into Long Island MacArthur Airport Offering Four Flights Daily to Boston
Islip, NY – May 29, 2025 – Looking to get to Boston as quickly and easily as possible? Beginning July 3, you can skip the traffic with a flight less than 90 minutes between hassle-free Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) and Boston Logan International with fares as low as $249 one way.
“We’ve had so much success bringing new airlines to Islip over the past several years and Long Island MacArthur Airport customers are enjoying the outcomes of the airport’s work with air service development,” said Town of Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “When JetBlue decided to discontinue its plans to serve Boston as planned for the summer of 2025, we were disappointed on behalf of our customers. We’re glad to say Boston is back at ISP thanks to Cape Air with 4 times daily service and year-round flights,” she added.
“Cape Air recognized an opportunity to expand its wings in the Northeast from convenient MacArthur Airport. We’re delighted to offer business travelers an excellent schedule and frequency to easily fly to Boston,” said Aviation Commissioner Rob Schneider.
Cape Air will use gate B15 in the central terminal at Long Island MacArthur Airport for exceptional convenience.
Cape Air will fly the new Tecnam P2012 Traveller on the route, offering passengers a modern, stylish, and highly capable twin-engine aircraft perfect for connecting short hops to Boston.
“We look forward to connecting Islip with Boston and sharing Cape Air’s outstanding customer service and convenient flight schedules,” said Linda Markham, Cape Air President & CEO.
“We are confident that this innovative aircraft will provide an exceptional flying experience for our passengers and the communities we serve. We look forward to seeing the P2012 Traveller inaugurate our service at Long Island MacArthur Airport,” Markham added.
